CONSTRUCTION OF ATHLETICS TRACKS
Grupo Pineda is a professional company specialising in the installation of sports courts and with a long history and experience in the sector. We offer our clients high quality work ensuring the best results for their facilities.
One of our specialities is athletics tracks. Our specialised spaces are designed to ensure that athletes can practice their sporting activity comfortably and safely.
To this end, one of our main concerns is to know our clients' needs perfectly. For this reason, we always start with a previous meeting from which we can design a specific and personalised study for each case.
In addition, we only rely on top-quality materials that are specialised in the construction of sports tracks. We look for optimal solutions for the athletics track and to ensure that the space remains in good condition for as long as possible.
All this, of course, without forgetting the budget of our clients, to which we have to adjust. Our prices are competitive and ensure an excellent construction of the athletics field.

Ecological paving
The use of porous paving facilitates the achievement of BREEAM and LEED certifications, as less water is used in its manufacture. Its filtering nature facilitates the management of rainwater, avoiding the need for complex channelling that would involve greater alteration of the territory and an increase in the cost of the work to be carried out.
Low thermal emissivity
Avoids high temperatures on the pavement surface.
Perfect drainage
Its vertical drainage prevents waterlogging and the consequent deterioration of the surface.
It also reduces the reflection of wet surfaces, increasing their safety.
Complete flatness
As a vertical drainage system, the system allows the creation of a level field and ensures a completely flat surface.
Water reuse
The drained water passes through manholes that offer the possibility of collecting the water for reuse.
No maintenance required
Its filtering characteristics and the high quality of the materials used make it a highly resistant and durable surface, without the need for costly maintenance. Therefore, it provides an economic value to the investment made.

The water flows through the rubber, concrete and drainage gravels, channelled through the drainage pipes to the manholes and channelled to the tank, where it is filtered and stored appropriately. The result is a source of quality water that allows the water to be reused for certain activities, thus reducing the consumption of drinking water.
To achieve the ideal quality, the rainwater is filtered and cleaned of large particles, leaves, small animals etc. The rainwater is recovered in an environmentally friendly and economical solution.

How to build an athletics track?
Another fundamental aspect of athletics tracks is the selection of the surface. Not only will it affect the athlete's sporting performance, but it can also have a detrimental or beneficial effect on its maintenance and therefore its durability. For these reasons, it is important to determine exactly which synthetic material the playing space will be covered with. In addition, the colour red is often chosen for these facilities, as it is highly resistant to UV rays.
The requirements of this sporting activity must also be taken into account. It is an oval made up of parallel straights with equal curves at both ends. Inside there are six to eight lanes for the athletes. In this space they will develop their sporting activity and must be conditioned for it. Company for the construction of athletics tracks.
How long is an athletics track?
One of the most common questions asked by our customers is how many metres an athletics track is . The truth is that professional venues have 400 metres of rope, divided equally between the space in a straight line and the space in a curve. In addition, in the second curve there is usually a pit for obstacle events.
What is clear is that the distance of the athletics track is not a matter that can be left to chance or where there can be mistakes. At Grupo Pineda we have measuring tools with which we can calculate the length of athletics tracksin detail.
Rely on Grupo Pineda for the construction of your athletics track with correct and professional measurements. We will be happy to advise you.
Areas of an athletic field
The athletics track and its parts are delimited by lines indicated on the pavement. The inner area of the oval is normally completed with grass and may include a field for another sport or be used for other events.
Athletics tracks also require maintenance in order to ensure their durability. Even indoor athletics tracks are exposed to many factors that can cause damage to the surface. To prevent this damage from affecting the sport and to ensure that the track is always in top condition, it is best to rely on professional track maintenance services.
Grupo Pineda is a company specialised in the installation and maintenance of all kinds of sports courts and pitches.
