The porous pavement is a draining pavement composed of a single homogeneous layer of selected aggregates: screened river gravel without crushing and VALDERRIBAS cement; they give the sports courts resistance and porosity.

Screened, uncrushed river gravel with a grain size between 2 and 8 mm in diameter, washed and rounded from GRACISA Fuentidueña quarries, and mixed in an exact dosage with VALDERRIBAS cement, forming cloths separated by conical rubber joints, to absorb expansion movements.

The permeability of this type of paving allows rainwater to pass through the soil, ensuring a correct drainage system. Not only are puddles and flooding avoided, but water management is also conveniently controlled.

Moreover, this type of flooring is specifically designed for this purpose. For this reason, it does not wear or suffer damage even if water penetrates the porous cement. However, it exists in different types, depending on the required permeability in the space.

As a result, ground adhesion is improved, noise is reduced and reflections on the surface are avoided. In addition, it is not only environmentally friendly, but also improves environmental efficiency by collecting rainwater. It is therefore an economical and convenient solution compared to other drainage methods or systems.

Drainage concrete court construction company

El hormigón poroso es un pavimento que permite que el agua circule a través de él. Esto quiere decir, que, en lugar de acumularse, el agua continúa fluyendo, de manera que se realiza un correcto drenaje.

This provides a number of extra advantages on the ground. As it is a filtering pavement, it avoids waterlogging and also avoids reflections caused by wet surfaces.

On the other hand, it has a low thermal emission, so the playing surface will avoid high temperatures. This makes it a much safer kind of playing surface.

At Grupo Pineda, our services include a prior study of the space and the needs of the installation. In addition, we are happy to advise you and look together for the best option for your space.

Advantages of constructing a porous pavement runway

It is common to find this type of paving in all kinds of spaces. From car parks to industrial areas or roads. Although there are an infinite number of uses for porous paving, we are experts in its installation in children's playgrounds and sports courts.

Thanks to the benefits and advantages mentioned above, it is the best choice for flooring in areas where sports of all kinds are practised. However, we have also installed this type of flooring on bike paths, school playgrounds or swimming pool beaches.

Count on Grupo Pineda for the installation of porous concrete at competitive prices and with the best quality results. Bear in mind that we are leaders in this type of paving with a long history and years of experience.

How is drainage concrete made?

Porous paving is composed of a granular base formed by compacted aggregates, but leaving a void that differentiates it from traditional concrete or asphalt. The most important feature of this type of flooring is the pores that are formed to ensure proper water drainage.

The thickness and porosity of the pavement will vary according to the final use of the ground. In addition, the base must be properly worked to be able to dislodge the water that seeps through the permeable soil.

It is installed by manual means to ensure the draining concrete . However, its finish is dense and uniform, ensuring a sealed surface with special paint, which is also porous. For this reason, it is essential to have specialised professionals to ensure the correct installation of permeable concrete.
